For some occupations a short period of on-the-job training may be required in addition to or instead of the formal qualification. In some instances no formal qualification or on-the-job training may be required.
**Tasks include:**
- positioning and holding tools and metal products - performing assembly and dismantling operations such as screwing and bolting - operating material-specific tools to perform tasks required for the production of the final product - soldering and spot welding components using electrical spot and butt welding machines
