Manufacture of pulp, paper and paperboard

The ISIC Rev. 4 code 1701 covers establishments that produce mechanical or chemical pulp from wood or other fibrous materials and then convert that pulp into paper, paperboard or related products; activities include pulping, bleaching, pressing, drying and finishing processes used to create printing, writing, packaging and tissue papers as well as solid or corrugated board.
