Directed Energy Systems

A program that focuses on the study of lasers and other directed energy phenomena and their application to the creation of energy beam weapons systems. Includes instruction in photonics, electro-optics, microwave phenomena, laser chemistry, spectroscopy, chemical lasers, fibre lasers, imaging and optics, laser propagation and control, laser communication, infrared remote sensing, modeling and simulation, and related technologies.
