Mining and Quarrying

The B section of the Classificação Nacional de Atividades Econômicas 2.0 groups establishments engaged in extracting minerals and other geological resources from the earth, including mining of coal, metal ores, and non-metallic minerals, as well as quarrying activities for stone, sand, gravel and similar materials. It covers the full extraction process from exploration and drilling to the removal and initial processing of raw materials.
