Personal Care Workers in Health Services
Personal care workers in health services provide personal care and assistance with mobility and activities of daily living to patients and elderly, convalescent and disabled people in health care and residential settings. Tasks performed usually include: assisting patients with mobility, personal care and communication needs; sterilizing surgical and other instruments and equipment; observing and reporting concerns to the appropriate medical or social service workers; preparing patients for examination and treatment and participating in planning the care of individuals.
