Processing and preserving of fruit and vegetables

The ISIC Rev.4 code 103 covers the industrial transformation of fresh fruit and vegetables into food products with extended shelf-life. Activities include washing, cutting, peeling, juicing, drying, freezing, canning, pickling, and the production of purees, jams, sauces and other preserved forms, whether for domestic consumption or export. It excludes processing of nuts, seeds and related products classified elsewhere.
