The D category of the Japan Standard Industrial Classification (Rev 13) groups all establishments primarily engaged in construction activities. It covers building construction such as residential, commercial and industrial structures, civil engineering works like roads, bridges and tunnels, as well as specialized trades, renovation, repair and demolition services.
