The "E" category in the Japan Standard Industrial Classification (Rev 13) covers manufacturing activities, encompassing all establishments that transform raw materials or components into finished products. It includes sub-sectors such as textiles, food processing, chemicals, machinery, metalworking, electronics and other industrial goods production.
