Manufacture of wood and products of wood

Code 16 covers establishments that transform raw timber and wood waste into primary and secondary wood products. Activities include sawmilling, planing, veneer and plywood production, manufacturing of particleboard, fibreboard and other engineered wood panels, as well as the fabrication of doors, windows, frames and basic furniture components. The classification excludes final furniture assembly and specialized woodcrafts, which are recorded under separate codes.
