Inorganic chemicals

The SITC Rev 4 code 52 groups all inorganic chemicals such as acids, bases, salts, inorganic oxides, industrial gases and other non-organic compounds used in manufacturing, agriculture and other industrial applications. It excludes organic chemicals, which are classified separately under other codes. This category captures bulk materials like sulphuric acid, ammonia, sodium carbonate and similar substances.
