Code 47 refers to the construction of residential buildings, encompassing the erection of new houses, apartments and other dwellings as well as the reconstruction, expansion and major renovation of existing housing units. The classification includes all related on-site activities such as foundation work, structural framing, roofing, interior fitting and finishing, but excludes non-residential construction.

Code 48 covers civil engineering construction, encompassing the planning, design, and building of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, tunnels, railways, water-conservation facilities, ports, airports, and other public works that serve transportation, flood control, and urban development needs. It includes related installation, maintenance, and renovation activities for these structures.

Code 49 covers the construction installation sector, encompassing activities that install, assemble, or fit out structures and facilities after the main building work is completed. This includes the placement of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other specialized systems in residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Code 50 includes enterprises that perform interior and exterior finishing work for buildings, such as painting, wallpapering, tiling, ceiling and floor installation, and other decorative services. It also covers renovation, refurbishment and related construction activities that improve the aesthetic and functional aspects of structures.
